Academic success coaches
Academic success coaches are trained learning specialists who assist students with study skills. Coaches also work at the front desk of the Bepko Learning Center to provide information to students regarding academic support programs, tutoring, and campus resources.
Academic mentors
The role of the academic mentor is to provide students with a structured, collaborative learning environment and activities that will help them achieve academic success in traditionally difficult courses.

Become a referred tutor
As a referred tutor, you work with students in a private tutoring setting, and we’ll share your information with students seeking such support. Referred tutors are approved by instructors or departments but are not employed by the university.
To be a referred tutor, you must meet these requirements:
- Maintain a cumulative and previous semester GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Receive at least a B+ in the courses you tutor at IUPUI
- Gain approval by instructors or departments for specific courses
- Complete the best practices tutor training
- Maintain availability and communication with students on Tutor Matching Service
Referred tutors through the Bepko Learning Center do not provide tutoring for writing or any English courses.
